Very Nice work. You definitely nailed the Mad Magazine influence. Though I'd say a lot more influence is taken from the traditional newspaper comic strip, most specifically Bloom County. It was cool that you noticed the newspaper vibe, as that was how the comic originated back in the day. This is actually like the third iteration I think.
